Description

Khao Pla ra is a mountain that divides the area of ​​Huai Sok Village, Lan Sak District and Khao Bang Krak Subdistrict, Nong Chang District. Khao Pla Ra is very large and steep for about 598 meters. The forest is very fertile. You have to walk and climb for a distance of 900 meters. It takes about 2 hours to reach the top of the mountain and see beautiful landscapes. Above of the mountain is a large plain and a forest of maca. The western cliff at an altitude of 320 meters found prehistoric paintings about 3,000 years old in black and red stripes. The black lines are already quite faded but the red part is still visible. Written along the length of about 9 meters, written in red, there are many types of images of humans and animals. There are about 40 images in total, showing the social life of the ancient people, which is the historical heritage of Uthai Thani Province. The archaeologists have divided the paintings on Khao Pla Ra into four groups, namely the first group. Group of images with people among pets (presumably a dog) The second group, a group of pictures showing the relationship between people and cows which they are catching the wild cows and bring them back to the party. Third group, a group of pictures showing the ritual performance. The person in the picture has a different accessory than the average person and the animals in the picture are similar to monkeys as well. The fourth group of miscellaneous pictures, mostly animals The color paintings here are considered to be more refined and realistic than other sources. Tips for walking up Mount Pla Ra is to get your drinking water ready and wear tight-fitting sneakers because the path is small and slippery, carry only necessary luggage. Traveling from the city, take Highway No. 333 through Nong Chang District. Then take Highway No. 3438, Nong Chang - Lan Sak route, about 21.5 kilometers. Further, you will see the Pla Ra Mountain Range on the left. Then turn left along the paved road for about 7.5 kilometers. If taking a bus, use the Uthai Thani-Lan Sak line. Then connect the car from Lan Sak. Get off at Huai Sok Intersection. Then connect a motorcycle taxi to the Khao Pla Ra Non-Hunting Area.
