History

Phra That Hin Kew at Doi Din Chi is believed to be built during the British ruling Burma by a Karen named Pha Sua Cha Pho who had a strong belief in Buddhism. He brought Rupee coins on the back of the elephant to find a place to build a pagoda to worship. When he arrives Pha Hin Kew (Din Chi), he found a large stone on a steep cliff, resembling Phra That In Khwaen in Burma, and then started to build the pagoda. When it was finished, the relics of Lord Buddha was placed in the pagoda along with the five gold Buddha images.
