Sam Amphoe Floating Market is established with the agreement between Ratchaburi Province and Samut Songkram Province by District Officer of Amphawa, Bang Khon Thi, and Wat Pleng, in order to promote tourism to generate income to community with the participation of the members. At Wat Chaeng Charoen, Muang Mai Sub-district, Amphawa District, people have the riverfront lifestyle. They sell products on the boat such as fruits and Thai desserts. Tourists who visit here can pay respect to Luang Pu Yod. Moreover, this area connects to Baan Pramot Sub-district, Baan Khon Thi District, so tourists have a chance to worship Luang Phor To at Wat Pramote, buy pomelo, orange, coconut, Thai traditional desserts, OTOP products, and community products. The bridge links this area to Wat Baan Pleng Sub-district, Wat Baan Pleng District, where people are also living on the riverside, called Sam Sob. In the past 50 years, there was the flea market on every Thursday where people from Ratchaburi and Samut Sonkram Province exchanged goods. However, when the lifestyle changed and people used more car, the market disappeared. Governor of Ratchaburi Province says that the floating market that opens on the weekend that will begins on 10 February 2018, at 1.00pm. is the new circumstance of floating market because there are three communities assemble together: Wat Pleng, Bang Khon Thi, and Amphawa District. At Wat Pleng District, it is called Thanon Plern Pleng, tourists will enjoy listening to the traditional music, tasting seasonal fruits and desserts, pay respect to the 1,000-year-old Luk Hin Shrine, and appreciate the beauty of 100-year-old church. Besides, there is the bridge connects the three districts together.
