Description
The famous and well-known temple of Nonthaburi is "Wat Chompoowek". It is said to have been built by Mon people who were refugees from Burma during the Ayutthaya period, about 2300 BC. For more than a hundred years, monks from Mon town have built Pra Mu Tao (Mon Pagoda), where a statue of the Buddha is taken from his hometown and is presumed to contain the relics of the Buddha in 2460. Later, the temple was named Wat Chumpoowek, meaning to praise the high mournfulness (quiet). The temple was originally built in the same style as the pagoda. The pentagonal facade is decorated with stucco molding. The pudding is in the center of the flower. It is a porcelain and porcelain porcelain.

History
