Description
Ban Tha Din Daeng has been inhabited before the World War II or about a hundred years ago. The landscape is near mangrove forests surrounding two sides of the village with the beach about 13 km long. Ban Tha Din Daeng is located 14 km from Thai Muang District. About 80% of the villagers are Islamic and mainly engaged in palm and rubber plantations/agriculture such as watermelon, long bean, hydroponic vegetables. The community characteristic is a dependent relationship. The motto of the community is to develop and care for the environment along with the participation and involvement of the locals and living under the sufficiency economy, in order to restore the soil condition for sustainable use.
History
The locals of Ban Tha Din Daeng live among the sea and mangrove forests, with muslim culture, and use a southern dialect. The landscape of the community is a cape stretching into the sea and is surrounded by natural mangrove forests, peat swamp forests, beautiful beaches, and clear water, which are a charm of the community.
