Description
In 1732 (B.E. 2275), there was an unrest situation in Lampang because there was no governor. Myanmar, a powerful kingdom during that period, dominated the entire of Lanna Kingdom: Chiang Mai and Lamphun, and appointed the governor who was under the King of Myanmar’s domination. Mahayos, the governor of Lamphun occupied Lampang and settled a camp in Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang. Nan Thipchang, who was a villager in Baan Pongkrok (currently in A. Hang Chat) and a hero of Lampang people, assembled the force to fight against Mahayos by sneaking in the temple, shot him, and conquered Lamphun army. Some gunshots remain on the brass fence of the Phrathat. Later, Nan Thipchang was appointed as Phraya Sulawaluechaisongkram, the governor of Lampang. He was the ancestor of Na Lampang, Chuerjedton, Na Chiang Mai, Na Lamphun, and Na Nan.
